Emergence

Some things can't be figured out by working harder, pushing through, or waiting for clarity to arrive. They have to be met differently.

EMERGENCE WORK

There's a word for where you are. It's called a threshold — the place between what was and what's next. Most people try to rush through it. This work is about meeting it with intention.

That's what this engagement is built for.

Emergence is a six-month, one-on-one engagement. We meet up to eight times — roughly every three weeks — each session 90 minutes.

Between sessions I offer reflective assignments and creative practices attuned to where you are — not a curriculum, but an invitation to keep going between our conversations.

You also have access to me between sessions — quick questions by text or email, and video responses for anything that needs more depth.

Snow-covered ground with multiple sets of footprints and ski tracks.

The terrain we move through together may include the following — always in service of what's most alive for you:

  • The place where your work and your deeper nature have diverged

  • The creative life set aside in service of the practical one

  • The transition you're standing in — a sale, a retirement, a loss, a career change — and what it's asking of you

  • The identity that carried you here — and what it may be costing you to keep carrying it

  • The question of purpose — are you living it

  • The question of legacy — what you're actually building, and for whom

  • A decision you've been circling for months that you can't quite see clearly

  • The next chapter forming at the edge of what you can currently see

  • What remains when the structures that once defined you are no longer enough

  • A shared vision that needs to be renewed, deepened, or honestly renegotiated

THIS IS NOT

A productivity system. A goal-setting framework. A five-step plan.

There are excellent coaches who do that work. This isn't it.

This is the work that happens when someone is ready to stop optimizing an old story and start revealing a truer one.

“Paradoxically, we're doing deep soul work where I'm discovering things about myself I didn't know — and translating that into practical steps. We're down here, but we're also at the surface. That's a very rare gift.”

WHO THIS IS FOR

Leaders, practitioners, and creatives who have built something significant and are ready to explore what's next. People who are ready to go deep, reflect honestly, and find out what's actually true for them.

If you want someone to hand you a plan and tell you what to do, I'm probably not the right fit. If you're ready for something more honest than that — you're in the right place.

HOW IT WORKS

We start with a conversation — no cost, no obligation.

Good conversations lead somewhere. If this one does, we'll know.

Six months. Up to eight sessions, roughly every three weeks. Ongoing access between sessions. $1,200/month.

The next chapter starts with a conversation.

Recent engagements have included:

  • A CEO reconsidering the sale of his company — and discovering he wasn't done yet

  • A senior leadership coach who had lost his own interior life in service of everyone else's

  • A therapist unburdening her creative practice from the weight of her biographical legacy

  • A couple designing their next chapter of shared impact

  • A creative who had more to say than he'd allowed himself to believe

  • An academic leader navigating the writing of a book that challenges social convention

  • A Chief Wellbeing Officer naming and claiming her own purpose — in service of her family, her community, and the company she leads
